Striding with Pride for People Who Have Experienced Homelessness

On Saturday 10th October 2026, See Me North held a Stride of Pride through the heart of Newcastle, standing alongside people who have experienced homelessness. Beginning at the Civic Centre, we walked down Northumberland Street to Monument, then on to Central Station, finishing at Alphabetti Theatre.

Along the way, we invited passers-by to add messages of hope to our communal banner and shared food parcels with people we met. Under bright autumn sunshine, we enjoyed plenty of warm, thoughtful conversations with the people of Newcastle.

The day captured everything See Me North has set out to achieve since the project began: connection, compassion and a louder, more visible voice for lived experience.
